The full school year is comprised of
approximately 180 student days and up to 190 teacher days,
divided into two semesters. AISCT honors all South African
national holidays and is closely aligned to both the
American and South African major holiday sessions, making it
possible for families to have the “best of both worlds.”
Families are able to take advantage of the long summer in
Cape Town, as well as the long winter (which is summer in
the northern hemisphere).
